The Human Rights League of the Horn of Africa\/HRLHA has been working for the past two decades to hold the Governments of the Horn of African countries to account for their gross human rights abuses in the Region. The efforts that the HRLHA has so far made in fight on behalf of the targeted peoples who were deprived of all their rights and powers to defend themselves, and the positive impacts and changes that resulted from HRLHA\u2019s efforts have attracted the attentions of world nations and won HRLHA a special consultative status with United Nations Organization. HRLHA is very proud of the recognition; and strongly believes that this award is a booster and energizer towards working harder and achieving more in terms of defending the defenseless, and speaking on behalf of those who were made voiceless. To continue the fight against suppressive regimes and to defend fundamental human rights, your support is very crucial.<\/p>\n

Therefore, HRLHA calls on all those who value human dignity and willing to contributing towards defending fundamental rights to support the HRLHA in any ways possible for them during the New Year of 2012.<\/p>\n
